Shafter Laborer's Festival

An entire week dedicated to reaching our migrant farm workers and their families with the gospel. We do this in several ways:

VBS: We put on Vacation Bible School for the kids all week long. This includes Bible Stories, Games, Music, Snacks, Craft, and Bible Memory Verses.

Women’s Spanish Bible Study: Our Spanish and Women’s Ministry put on a Women’s Spanish Bible Study for the mom’s during VBS. This includes Bible Study, Crafts, and Snacks.

Wednesday Night Outreach: At this event we serve hotdogs, give out backpacks/school supplies, haircuts, shoes, and provide waterslides for the kids to enjoy. We are always needing more professional haircutters for this event.

Friday Night BBQ Outreach: At this event we BBQ 200 lbs of Carne Asada, and we serve rice, beans, and drinks. After the meal our Spanish Worship Band plays a few songs and then our Spanish Pastor preaches the gospel. At the end we give out all kinds of prizes and food boxes.
